Naumburg (Saale) is a town in the south of Saxony-Anhalt. It is located on the former Via Regia and was an important medi­eval trading centre. The town has a well-preserved historic old town. Part of the old town is Naumburg Cathedral, built in the 13th century, that is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
