Cadolzburg is a market town in Middle Franconia, about 8 km west of Fürth. It bears the name of the centrally located castle of the same name. At times it belonged to the Hohenzollern family; Friedrich VI, ancestor of the Prussian kings used it as a residence and Albrecht of Brandenburg as a hunting lodge.
