Worms is a city in Rhineland-Palatinate on the western shores of the Rhine. The city with the nickname “Nibelungen city” is famous for its Cathedral, one of the three great romanesque imperial cathedrals. In 1521 Martin Luther was ostracized at the Diet of Worms, where he was invited to defend his 95 theses.
