Schwarzburg is a small town in the Schwarzatal in Thuringia. It is famous for Schwarzburg Palace, one of the residences of the princes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. On 11 August 1919, Reich President Friedrich Ebert signed the Weimar ­Constitution in a hotel room in Schwarzburg while he was on summer holiday.
