Eisenach is a city in Thuringia. It is known for the Wartburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site where Martin Luther translated the New Testament in 1521. In 1817 the Wartburg Festival took place there – the origin of the German Revolution. Additionally, Eisenach is the birthplace of composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
