Eckersdorf is a Bavarian muncipality near Bayreuth. It belonged to the family of Plassenberg from 1420, to the family of Lüchau from 1552, and from 1757 to the Principality of Bayreuth. The palace Schloss Fantaisie built by Princess Elisabeth Friederike Sophie of Brandenburg-Bayreuth is located in the Donndorf district.
