Konstanz is the biggest city at the western end of Lake Constance (Bodensee), bordering Switzerland in the south. The city is famous for its beautiful old city, the Imperia (a nine-metre tall sculpture), the Rheintorturm, the Schnetztor, and the Council of Constance, which took place from 1414 to 1418.
