Rödental

Coat of Arms of Rödental

Rödental is a small town in Upper Franconia, about 7 kilometres northeast of Coburg. The local attraction is Rosenau Castle, the residence of the dukes of Saxe-Coburg. In 1819, Prince Albert, prince consort to Queen Victoria, was born here, which is why Rödental is also called “Prince Albert City”.
