Calw is a town in the Northern Black Forest with a history of almost 1,000 years. It has a beautiful historic town centre with a romantic marketplace that is nearly untouched. The Nobel Prize in Literature laureate and author of “Steppenwolf”, Hermann Hesse, was born in Calw in 1877.
