Wolfhagen is a town in northern Hesse near Kassel. Because of its beautiful old town centre, the German Timber-Frame Road and the German Fairy Tale Route pass through the town. Wolfhagen is also known as the home of Hans Staden, the explorer who travelled to South America in the early sixteenth century.
