Stadtlauringen is a market town in Lower Franconia with beautiful half-timbered houses at the medieval market square. The historic bailiff's seat with the Fürstenbau and Schüttbau as well as a tithe barn are worth seeing. The largest reservoir in Lower Franconia, the Ellertshäuser See, is located in the municipal area.
