Coat of Arms of Fürth

Fürth is a large city in Middle Franconia, only 7 km west of Nuremberg. In the 17th century, it was ruled by the Archdiocese of Bamberg, the Principality of Ansbach, and the imperial city of Nuremberg. From 1835, the first German railway, the Bavarian Ludwig Railway, ran services between Fürth and Nuremberg.
