Corinth is a city in the Peloponnese region in Greece located near the Isthmus of Corinth. The modern city was founded in 1858 and is the successor to the ancient city, destroyed by an earthquake. Ancient Corinth is known throughout the world because it was part of Paul the Apostle's missionary travels.
