The coat of arms of Aylsham

Aylsham is a market town on the River Burth in Norfolk. From 1372 on Aylsham became the principal town of the Duchy of Lancaster when John of Gaunt was lord of the manor. In November 2005 Aylsham came fourth in the world in an international competition celebrating liveable communities.
