Because of its magnificant medieval castle and several historic Tudor buildings, Warwick is popular with tourists. J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of "Lord of the Rings", got married in Warwick's St Mary's Immaculate Church. Rumour has it that the city provided the inspiration for Edoras, the capital of Gondor, and Minas Tirith.
