King's Lynn

The coat of arms of King’s Lynn

King’s Lynn is a town in Norfolk. Its name was Bishop’s Lynn when it belonged to the Bishop of Norwich but was renamed after it was surrendered to Henry VIII. In the 14th century, it was England’s most important port. Two warehouses from that period, once owned by the Hanseatic League, still exist.
